Utility Room Coatings · Hager City, WI · Est. 2003
Hager City is an unincorporated community in the Town of Trenton, Pierce County, at the junction of Highway 35 and US-63. The US-63 bridge, the Eisenhower Bridge of Valor, lands here from Red Wing, Minnesota, and Red Wing Regional Airport sits on this side of the river. About 45 minutes south of River Falls. We install polyurea + polyaspartic floor coatings for Hager City homeowners: diamond-ground prep, custom flake colors, 1–2 day install, written 15-year warranty. Rural rather than platted. Houses strung along the highways and the river road, farmsteads through the Town of Trenton, and shops and outbuildings that hold more slab than the houses do.
Utility Room Coatings in Hager City
Hager City is a crossroads rather than a town, and its concrete follows. It sits at the Wisconsin end of the US-63 bridge from Red Wing, the only Mississippi crossing for a long way in either direction, so the buildings clustered at the junction take highway traffic out of two states. Red Wing Regional Airport is on the Wisconsin side here, which puts hangar floors in a community of a few hundred people. Away from the junction the Town of Trenton is farm ground and river bottom: farmsteads with machine sheds and pole barns whose slabs run several times the size of a garage floor and carry equipment, fuel and gravel. On the low ground near the river a floor gets a moisture test, because concrete that close to the Mississippi holds water. Most of the side roads out here are gravel, so the grit that lands on a slab is sand and stone rather than city road salt.
Hager City mudrooms take gravel dust, river sand and winter salt. Polyurea cleans up from all three and is normally coated with the garage or shop it opens onto.
Why we don't install epoxy in Hager City
Most utility rooms have one of three floor finishes: bare concrete, concrete paint (peeling within a year or two), or vinyl tile (lifting at edges from moisture). All three fail in the same conditions utility rooms see daily: water, detergent, dropped tools, road salt. A polyurea coating ends the cycle: it bonds mechanically into the concrete, doesn't peel, doesn't lift, doesn't soak up spills.
Bottom line: utility rooms see the same conditions as a garage or basement, just at smaller scale. Same coating system applies. Same warranty. The only thing that changes is the room size and (often) the install duration; most utility rooms are done in an afternoon.
Hager City Pricing
Standalone pricing is below. Most homeowners save 30-50% by bundling utility rooms with a larger garage or basement install; equipment is already on-site, so the marginal cost is materials + 2-4 hours of crew time. Mention any adjacent utility spaces at quote time.
small laundry or mudroom
100-200 sq ft
large workshop or hobby room
Standalone minimum is ~100 sq ft (jobs smaller than that don't pencil). For utility rooms attached to a larger project, there's no real minimum. We'll add a 30 sq ft mechanical closet to a basement install for the cost of materials. Send four photos and Dave will quote bundle pricing same-day.
The 6-step install
Same checklist on every floor. The reason our coatings still look new at year ten when the cheap stuff peeled in year two.
