Commercial Floor Coatings · Somerset, WI · Est. 2003
Somerset is a small St. Croix County village on the Apple River, north of Hudson and west of New Richmond. Known regionally for Apple River tubing. About 40 minutes north of River Falls. We install polyurea + polyaspartic floor coatings for Somerset homeowners — diamond-ground prep, custom flake colors, 1–2 day install, written 15-year warranty. Mix of older village-core homes (1900s-1940s), mid-century housing scattered throughout, and post-2000 suburban development along Highway 64 and the Apple River.
Commercial Floor Coatings in Somerset
Somerset is a small village but a regular install territory because of the Apple River recreational area and growing residential development. The downtown core has older 1900s-1940s slabs. The Apple River and Float Rite Park areas have a mix of newer year-round homes and seasonal cabins. We batch Somerset with New Richmond and Hudson jobs.
Somerset commercial work is mostly downtown small retail and the recreation-economy businesses along the Apple River — bars, restaurants, rental shops. Weekend installs avoid the peak summer recreation traffic.
Why we don't install epoxy in Somerset
Commercial floors fail in different ways than residential. Forklift point-loads, hot tire pickup from work vehicles, chemical exposure from oils and degreasers, and the financial cost of a closed bay. Standard epoxy can't handle any of those reliably. Polyurea is what industrial spaces have been moving to for the last decade — and what we install exclusively.
Bottom line: polyurea costs the same or slightly more than a contractor-grade commercial epoxy install per square foot, lasts 3-5× as long, requires no maintenance, and doesn't close your operation for a week to install. Every commercial customer we've installed for since the polyurea switch (2010) is still on the original floor.
Somerset Pricing
Commercial pricing varies more than residential because mobilization and crew time amortize across larger jobs. Below are typical ranges by project size + use case. Every commercial install includes diamond-ground prep, polyurea + polyaspartic system, COI on request, and the 15-year warranty. Larger jobs get phased install scheduling and milestone reporting.

Same checklist on every floor. The reason our coatings still look new at year ten when the cheap stuff peeled in year two.
